Senior Medical Consultant – Major General Alan Hawley CBE, MB, ChB, MA, MSc, MSt, FFOM, FFPH, FRCP, FRCS
Alan is the Former Commander of the Royal Army Medical Corps and now a Professor of Disaster Management at Glamorgan University and Honorary Physician to HM Queen Elizabeth II. He has over three decades of experience in setting up and operating remote medical facilities around all over the world.
Medical Director - Lt Col Michael McErlain MBChB, BScMed, Sci, FRCS(Ed) (Tri&Orth)
Mike planned, activated and commanded the medical evacuation chains for the British army from both Iraq and Afghanistan. This included the prioritisation of medical and surgical intervention to facilitate evacuation.
Mike has many years experience in the civilian medical evacuation field having been involved in over 100 cases. He speaks, Italian, French, German, Spanish and English and is a practicing Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal and Trauma Surgeon. As such he has vast clinical experience as a senior military surgeon. As a junior doctor he served with 23 Parachute Field Ambulance, completed P-Company and Parachute training, and then as the Unit Medical Officer for 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment.
Operations Manager - Mike O'Halloran
Mike has a wealth of experience in the command, control and running of Operations Rooms in both peace time and war.
Having recently completed 22 years in the Grenadier Guards he has run operations rooms and coordinated evacuations on Operational Tours of Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq twice and Afghanistan.
Operations Manager - Darren Wells MBE
Darren has extensive experience of running numerous high level operations rooms including the Firefighters emergency centre in the UK. During his 23 year military career he was responsible for the safe and speedy repatriation of hundreds of casualties through RAF Brize Norton in the UK from all over the world. He also has many years experience of planning and carrying out projects under extreme conditions.
Medical Operations Manager - Mark Sanders-Crook
After a career as a senior field medic in the Royal Army Medical Corp, Mark held a position as a Senior Warder at the Tower of London. He has extensive field medical experience and holds high level civilian qualifications in Mountain Rescue, Training & Development, Disaster Relief Control (DROC), Coping with Rape and Sexual Abuse (WRVS Cert) and as Nuclear, Biological & Chemical advisor to government agencies.
He also has experience of establishing and supervising emergency and primary healthcare in Third World countries.
Head of IT Security - Peter Bassil CISSP CITP - Consultant
Peter is a very prominent and knowledgeable member of the Information Security community. He has over 10 years experience in Information Security Management prior to that he served in the British Army as an Infantry soldier. Currently Peter is the Chief Information Security Officer for Gala Coral Group, one of the biggest integrated betting and gaming groups in Europe. He is a frequent speaker at Information Security events throughout the Globe and is an industry thought leader on Information Security practices. Peter holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), is a qualified Digital Forensics Analyst and Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) in recognition of his skills and ability in this field.
Brigadier (Rtd.) Tresham Gregg CBE - Consultant - Middle East, Indian sub-continent & SE Asia
Tresham has had wide experience on operations and in crisis and change management during a full career in the military, which also included 4 years in the Middle East. In the MOD he was the military staff focus for the Middle East, Indian sub continent and SE Asia and maintained close links with the FCO and DFID during emergencies in those areas. He was the senior British military advisor to Kofi Annan, the UN's Special Representative, in the Primary Joint Headquarters in the Balkans, and briefed him on a daily basis. He also ran the UN Operations Room comprising 17 different nationalities, which involved frequent liaison with National Representatives, UNHQ in New York and NGOs when developing operational plans. Prior to leaving the forces he was the author of a seminal report, taken at the highest level, into income generation opportunities using military facilities. Subsequently, he acted as an advisor to a consortium which bid successfully for a multi billion pound PFI for military training.
